Looking up
We have always built material structures to satisfy the basic needs (protection, safety, links), but also immaterial structures that allow the rise of organisations where you can accomplish things impossible to create by your own.
Organisational’ structures, as well as architectural ones, were born to solve problems and grasp opportunities. Too often, nevertheless, organisational structures “survive” to problems (and thought) they were born from, becoming the first barrie to their own evolution.
The architectural glance gives us an unprecedented opportunity to think about how structures influence what happens in the spaces they create. In fact a building shape encourages or hinders the way we cooperate.
If we take the architectural point of view, we’ll never be able to keep form apart from substance again.
